Prayer is a gift and a privilege that we have been given as children of God. During prayer we receive divine power from God through our Lord Jesus Christ and this awesome power is activated by the Holy Spirit, however many children of God do not know how to exercise the power and authority given to them. Many Christians are living lives full of all sorts of oppression by the devil.Sickness,debt,poverty,prayerlessness, stress,anxiety,loneliness,unruly children,loveless marriages,cheating,violence etc.The Church of God has lost its power and authority and a lot of the people in the church have lost the power that was given to them through Christ Jesus.The average believer does not exercise the dunamis power of God. That authoritative power the Apostles had, they would look at a person and command them to see and all blindness would go. Is it not the same power that rested upon them on the day of Pentecost that also lives in us?The bible clearly tells us in Luke 10:19 , "Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]and nothing shall in any way harm you."This is the power we all have as believers if only we knew and believed we had it.I am shocked when I meet believers who say,"oh that was in the bible and it won't happen now.Not in this time,etc".If believers don't even believe in the power of God,then the devil has an easy game messing with believer's lives.
In II Corinthians 10:4 "For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds."
In Ephesians 6, Paul said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities, powers, etc. He told us to put on the whole armour of God that we may be able to withstand in the evil day.The enemy will try you, to know if you mean business or if you are just playing. So get into the Word of God and know your authority in the Name of JESUS.
Fear is the number one weapon used by satan. But JESUS said that He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a strong mind. (II Timothy 1:7). As you come to believe who you are in Christ and you will know the authority and the power that has been bestowed on you as a believer you will exercise that power with authority. “Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God.”” Matthew 22:29 and it is evident in the Church now.
Oppression refers to one being put under subjection by a force or power stronger than you. Oppression can be experienced in many different forms for example maritally, psychologically, financially, and most importantly spiritually.Psalms 42:9 I will say unto God my rock,why has thou forgotten me?why am I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? We can be Christians and still be oppressed by the enemy and yet oppression is meant to be no where near us.When we are oppressed we do not live in God's will for our lives and we are subjected to the enemy,s devices.
Christians know that there is the spiritual realm and a physical realm and for things to manifest in the physical they must be accomplished in the spirit first.We know that
we are all Tri-une beings.That is body ,soul and spirit.Your soul is your mind,will and emotions.Your body is the physical flesh.Christians can have a sicknesses,infirmities,pain and disease just like the non-believers which is caused by demons or fowl spirits when you are under oppression ,for example Mary Magdalene,The bible says she was oppressed by seven demons. “When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.” Mark 16:9 Imagine what kind of life she was living to be tormented by 7 demons.The second part is the soul.That's your emotions,feelings,intellect,mind and will.The is is where the enemy will oppress you and plant things in your head,this is where you read and absorb different information that fights with your spirit.Such as the movies we watch,social media posts,news on T.V ,new gospels etc and this will cause people to divert from the Word of God and in turn open doors for the enemy to oppress us.That is why the bible tells us we need to renew our minds(corrupted minds) in Romans 12:2 , the bible says “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is ,His good, pleasing and perfect will.”This can be due to oppression by evil spirits and demons because some form of sin has opened a door for the enemy to come in.
Third is your SPIRIT. Demons cannot get into your SPIRIT, however , the demons surround your SPIRIT like a glass jar surrounds its contents, and you have trouble serving the Lord JESUS the way the bible tells you to do or that you want because they will be waiting for you to slip so they can torment you.Deliverance can get rid of the demons. So here we are, children of God, and we are sick in our bodies, sick in our minds, can't seem to serve God the way we want to. Because we are oppressed.That's right, demons are causing this trouble. JESUS said in John 10:10 that satan has come to kill, steal and destroy, but that He (JESUS) has come to give life and life abundantly. JESUS came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8.Acts 10:38 we see how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power,and He went about doing good ,healing all that were oppressed of the devil.Most believers are going through difficult times and are oppressed by the enemy and finding life so hard because their burdens are many.Oppression is usually the first point of attack of the enemy and if you don't rise up and fight in prayer and self deliverance,the outcome is very bad.

Oppression is a spirit that comes in many forms which comes to delay and trap people,when it is released against you it will fight you and the only way to be free is to fight via deliverance and warfare prayer so break the yoke.It comes in many different forms and leads you to be confused on whether you are serving God or the devil.If you are at crossroads and you are unaware of how you got there and your level of prayer has gone down and you are now questioning your faith,you are definitely under oppression by the enemy. When you see yourself as a believer and yet there is something or somethings that you know are a sin and you can’t seem to stop them and you have been struggling in that area you are under oppression.Most people do message us that they struggle with fornication and watching pornography or taking drugs,this is a clear sign that they are under oppression.They want to stop and they know it is wrong but they still fall into the sin.JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY,THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.HE WILL DELIVER YOU,ASK HIM INTO YOUR SITUATION AND HE WILL HELP YOU.
How to fight oppression
1.Have faith in God.
2.Confess all Sins and repent.
3.Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour
Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."
4.Join A bible believing church and begin bible study.

6. Do Self Deliverance.
7.Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas you need deliverance and a man or woman of God who is more anointed than you who has deliverance ministry to help you.
8.Go for deliverance services(casting out of demons) ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the right church.
