Ecclesiastes 1:9 History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. We all have faced financial crisis at some point in our lives,for others even worse to the extent of extreme poverty.We might be working very hard and still when it comes to the end of the month we are struggling to pay our bills ,fend for ourselves and our loved ones. At times we find ourselves so depressed and so unhappy because our financial status just seems to get worse no matter how hard we try.But thank God for prayer ,we can pray ourselves out of financial difficulties and step into our blessings as we follow God’s principles for financial blessings.Financial breakthroughs come as matter of revealing these principles and allowing those who are financially troubled to choose whether to obey them or not. These principles reveal God's instructions to His children for conducting their finances.As Christians we must obey God's instructions in everything that we do, as seen in the Bible.These financial principles are real, and obedience to them demonstrates that Christians are trusting God in the financial part of their lives.According to Malachi 3:10, Father open the floodgates of heaven, let your blessings pour so that I may have more than enough of everything. According to Philippians 4:19, Lord, meet all my needs according to the riches of Your glory in Jesus.To achieve financial breakthroughs and freedom Children of God need to know the 3 M'S and exercise them appropriately.
What are the 3 M's?
1.Make
As believers,we should be able to make money legally without compromising our beliefs and faith.We should ask God to give us ideas that will generate wealth for us.If we are employed by companies , we should have the best possible positions with the highest paid salaries.We should be the first ones to get the best contracts than those in the world, meeting the right opportunities and destiny changers.
2.Manage
As children of God we should be able to manage our money and live within our means.We should not envy what others have or try to compete with each other ,that we end up living in debt to keep up with the Jones or to keep up appearances in order to meet the world’s expectations. We should not be borrowing and begging just to survive.We can ask God to bless us ,and He does it in His own time.If God gives you little,and you prove you can manage it well then ,He will give you more. Luke 16:10 Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
3.Multiply
As Christians we have to be able to learn how to multiply what God has given to us. Yes we can make money but we can also multiply that money.We need to pray for discernment to make the right investments to yield a harvest. Just like in Matthew 25:14-30 in The Parable of the Talents.
1. Confess your sins and Repent.
There are some that think because we are Christians we don’t sin. We are still sinners and we sin just about everyday in our thoughts and deeds. Some are sins of commission (we did something wrong) or sins of omission (we failed to do something that we should do) Therefore, we need to ask for forgiveness of our sin BEFORE we ask God to give us anything. We have to make sure that there is nothing standing in the way of our prayers being answered. 1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to God, He will keep His promise and do what is right: He will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing.

2. Ask in line with the will of God.
God is not going to answer prayers that are not according to His will. Find the scriptures in the bible that support your request and this will be the basis of your request.If you are asking for a financial breakthrough because you want to compete with your peers then you will not have that prayer answered because its a selfish prayer.You should ask to be blessed so you can be a blessing to others,God searches the heart and He knows your intentions and if they are not pure,the answer will be No.
3.Have Faith.For the breakthrough to happen you must have faith that God will answer your prayer. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
4. Follow the principles of God for finances.
The first principle is that God is the source of everything. Philippians 4:19 says, "My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Proverbs 8:20,21 adds, "I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures."
The second principle is that , a key verse, says, "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you give it shall be measured to you again." According to Deuteronomy 14:23, one purpose of tithing was to teach the people of Israel to put God first in their lives.
Another principle is that of hard work. The Scriptures spell it out: All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.Proverbs 14:23.
