One of the basic principles Christians should put into practice is how to pray the scriptures.Well, how do we do that?My husband taught me that scripture is the inspired word of God, it is His will and it is powerful to ask Him for things He has clearly laid out as His will for us. We are asking God to do what He’s already said He wants to do for us. Praying scriptures for our husbands and children should be a big part of our everyday prayer life.Praying for your husband is a powerful, powerful thing.The Bible tells us in James 5:16: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Prayer is powerful, and a praying wife is a huge blessing to her husband.Yes marriage isn’t always rosy,there are strains that can cause dis-accord to the relationship between a husband and a wife. Sometimes it’s hard to pray for your husband when he has upset you or offended you.Sometimes you’re bitter because of his actions, sometimes you just want to knock him out. Sometimes you feel lost on what to do because he is lost. But prayer is powerful and praying for your husband, whether he is already a great husband and spiritual leader or he is far from it, is so very important and very necessary, even more so if your husband is not born again.God is the one who touches the heart of man to change, that’s why you should take your prayer petition about your husband to the Lord in prayer. Take it to God before you take it to the phone ,it may be best to keep it just between you and God, period.

I pray that my husband may seek first Your kingdom today.Help him to live righteously. And as he seeks you, Lord, I pray that You will provide everything he needs today. And show him what his true needs are, compared to what the world says he needs. Thank you for providing for every one of his needs, Lord!Amen.

2.Psalm 139:23-24

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

I pray that my husband will turn to You to search and test his heart.I pray he will come to You with every anxious thought and cast it over to You. I pray that my husband’s heart will be tender so that when You point out areas of weakness that he will gladly and joyously turn over those burdens to You. Lord I ask that You lead him along the path of everlasting life, and I thank You that although there are struggles in this world that there will be no pain, shame, darkness or struggles and stumbling when we spend eternity with You, in Jesus’ name.Amen.

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.

Abba Father fill my husband with Your Holy Spirit and inspire him to live true according to Your Word.Strengthen his hands and knees. Guide him on a straight path and hold him up, so that he can be made strong in Your Word, in Jesus’ name.Amen.

Dear God

I pray that my husband will be humbled before You today.Make him aware of the schemes of the enemy and make him strong to resist those schemes. I pray for his relationship with You and I thank You that You are always close when my husband approaches You. I bind every evil spirit that wants to torment my husband and I send it to the pits of hell right now by the power in the blood of Jesus. If there is anything that my husband needs to seek repentance for , I ask You that You convict his heart so that he will not have to carry around heavy burdens and regretful thoughts. Father, watch over my husband, I ask Pray that you guide my husband on his choices of friends.Help him to choose his friends wisely and bring him men who will encourage his accountability before You.Friends who will build him up instead of bringing him down and will not lead him into sin in Jesus’ name. Lord grant my husband a forgiving heart in our relationship. I pray that he will recognize any roots of bitterness, resentment and unforgiving attitudes towards me and others and help him to let go, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

My husband seems stuck and unhappy. I lift him in prayer and I ask that You reveal to him his God-given purpose.Guide him Lord and help him to pursue only those goals that will bring You glory in Jesus’ name.Amen.

Lord I pray for my husband so that he understands the importance of taking care of his body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.Any addiction, bad habit causing harm to his body, self harm or self destruction I bind it in the name of Jesus.Lord help him practice self-control by making wise food choices and sufficient exercise to stay healthy as well as taking care of his mental health.Put a hedge of protection around him and protect from sickness.Grant him long life and in Jesus’ name.
